FAQ's

FAQ's & Fees

What makes your clinic & methods unique?

As experts in integrative medicine, we approach wellness as both an art and a science. Our method unites the timeless intelligence of Eastern medicine with the precision of modern Western science to uncover and heal the true root of imbalances and chronic symptoms. Every treatment blends acupuncture, clinical herbalism, and evidence-based innovation to restore harmony, longevity, and vitality from within. It’s a modern evolution of holistic medicine—crafted for those who seek depth, intention, and results that last.

What should I expect during my first appointment?

At your first visit, your practitioner will ask in detail about your health history, current symptoms, lifestyle, and treatments to create a holistic picture and provide a

personalized plan.

During acupuncture, hair-thin needles are gently inserted at specific points to stimulate internal healing responses. Most patients feel little to no pain, and treatments may leave you feeling either energized or deeply relaxed. You will also receive tailored diet & lifestyle guidance based on our CoLymph™ method, as well as recommendations for integrative supplements to enhance your results.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of acupuncture treatments needed varies with each patient, depending on factors like health goals, severity of symptoms, lifestyle, genetics, and how you respond to treatment. Because of this, progress cannot be predicted exactly. Our practitioners combine over 30 years of clinical experience with scientific research to design individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient.

In general, we recommend weekly acupuncture sessions for at least 3–5 weeks after your first visit, though some patients may benefit from twice-weekly treatments depending on their condition. Pairing your sessions with our integrative supplements can further accelerate your healing.

Why should I see a
board-certified licensed acupuncturist?

Seeing a board-certified, licensed acupuncturist ensures you’re working with a highly trained practitioner who has completed rigorous education, clinical training, and national certification standards.

This guarantees safe, effective, and evidence-based care, as well as a deep understanding of both Eastern & Western medicine. It also means your treatments are held to the highest professional and ethical standards.

Do you take insurance & what are the costs?

We are a participating in-network provider for Aetna and CareFirst/BlueCross BlueShield. We also accept HSA & FSA cards as forms of payment. We do NOT accept Medicaid/Medicare.

Insurance coverage for acupuncture significantly varies by plan. Check your own health insurance plan’s benefits to understand your coverage, or give us a call at

703-750-0577 for verification.

Insurance Disclaimer: A quote of benefits and/or authorization does not guarantee payment or verify eligibility. Payment of benefits are subject to all terms, conditions, limitations, and exclusions of the member’s contract at time of service.

Do you offer telemedicine consultations?

Yes! We offer telemedicine consultations for patients who are not be able to visit the clinic in person. These virtual sessions allow us to review your health history, discuss symptoms, and provide personalized guidance on diet, lifestyle, acupressure, lymphatic self-massage, and integrative supplements.

While acupuncture itself requires an in-person visit, telemedicine ensures you can still access expert support and tailored recommendations from the comfort of your home.
